When it comes to skincare, sunscreen is arguably the most important part of any routine and yet for many, it can be one of the most unpleasant. The overwhelming scent, the thick texture, the white tint that refuses to blend; it’s an experience most of us are familiar with. The Too Faced Hangover Good to Go Moisturizer is the answer to the problem of uncomfortable sunscreen.
If you’re like me and you’ve got an extensive skincare regiment, the last thing you want to do is have to apply a sunscreen on top of a separate moisturizer. All those layers before the makeup even hits your face is a ticket to cake-city. What I’m looking for is a one-step moisturizer that combines SPF with enough hydration to prep my skin for makeup and the Too Faced Hangover Good to Go does just that.

Claims
The Hangover Good to Go moisturizer claims to give you a glowing complexion while shielding you from harmful UVA/UVB rays. It’s supposed to replicate the properties of Too Faced’s Hangover Primer in a dewy moisturizer. The packaging says it’s a hydrating and lightweight product that contains coconut water and is formulated to make your makeup better.

Consistency
The Hangover Good to Go has a thin, slightly runny consistency that’s more similar to that of a serum than a traditional sunscreen or moisturizer. It’s a lightweight texture that blends in extremely easily and leaves the skin feeling hydrated and slightly plumped but not greasy.
Though the product has a white appearance to it when you first pump it out, the color blends away in seconds to appear completely undetectable. It leaves no hint of white and in no way changes the color of the skin.

The texture of the Hangover Good to Go is very similar to the Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer. It’s thin, easy to blend, adds hydration, and leaves a slight glow to the skin.
It’s ideal for use under makeup because it really preps the skin in terms of hydration, in the same way the primer does. You wouldn’t necessarily need to pair it with the Hangover Primer unless you really struggle with texture and could use the extra smoothness.
Scent
If you’re familiar with the scent of the Hangover Rx Primer, the Hangover Good to Go smells just like it. It’s got a light, slightly sweet coconut scent that’s not overpowering and it dissipates as you wear it.
If the smell of sunscreen usually bothers you, this might work for you because the scent is not the same as the traditional, heavy one that most sunscreens have, it’s pretty mild and not unpleasant.
SPF Properties

The Hangover Good to Go contains a broad spectrum SPF 25 that will protect against UVA and UVB rays. While the formula doesn’t contain Octinoxate or Oxybenzone, it is a chemical-based sunscreen. Its active ingredients are Avobenzon, Homosalate, Octisalate, and Octocrylene.

Before using the Hangover Good to Go I had finished up a bottle of Tarte’s Tarteguard Vegan Sunscreen which I really liked and the two are similar in consistency. While you do get more product in the Tarteguard, I prefer the Hangover Good to Go because it’s even thinner, it blends in quicker and feels more lightweight than the Tarteguard and I find the scent more pleasant. The Tarteguard is a physical sunscreen and vegan so if you’d prefer a nonchemical sunscreen or a vegan product with a similar texture I recommend giving it a try.

Regardless of where you choose to purchase from, make sure to check if Rakuten (ebates) is offering cash back. Sephora offers cash back for anywhere from 2% to 8% so it?s definitely worth looking into. If you haven?t signed up for Rakuten yet, you can do so?here, it only takes a minute and then you?ll earn cash back every time you shop through their link. They also have an extension which I recommend installing, that activates cash back on all eligible websites with one click and it also scans for coupons.?
